Halle (dpa/sa) - The regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency will provide information on Wednesday (10 a.m.) about the situation on the labor market in Saxony-Anhalt in August. According to experts, unemployment will increase. The causes are therefore a lower seasonal demand for workers and more and more unemployed Ukrainian refugees, who have been recorded by the job centers since June.
Around 78,600 people were last registered as unemployed in Saxony-Anhalt in mid-July. That was 2,600 more than in June. The unemployment rate rose from 6.9 percent in June to 7.2 percent in July in Saxony-Anhalt.
