Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - In Saxony-Anhalt, 313,600 doses of the advanced corona vaccine for booster vaccinations are expected soon. When asked, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health in Magdeburg said they would be distributed via pharmaceutical wholesalers. The vaccinations were then primarily carried out by the resident doctors. The districts should work together with the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians to look for vaccination gaps and create a needs-based offer. In some cases, mobile vaccination teams are still on the move in the counties.
The federal government expects around 14 million doses of the advanced vaccines from Biontech/Pfizer and Moderna, which are adapted to the Omicron subline BA.1, in the two weeks starting September 5th. The cans are then distributed nationwide.
