Saxony-Anhalt: State government wants to approve budget for 2023

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - The cabinet in Saxony-Anhalt wants to adopt the state budget for 2023 on Tuesday. According to the Ministry of Finance, the total volume is around 13 billion euros. Due to the increased energy prices, the country is preparing for significant additional expenditure. In the budget for 2023, around 30 million euros are additionally planned for the supply of the state institutions. For the current year, a total of 73 million euros has been budgeted for fuel, electricity and heating. After the state government has approved the draft budget, it still has to go through parliament.
