Saxony: Around 29,000 people visit the Bautzen Summer Theater

Bautzen (dpa/sn) - A good 29,000 people visited the theater summer in Bautzen. As the German-Sorbian People's Theater announced on Sunday, the play "Sherlock Holmes - The Beast of Bautzen" was performed 35 times. There were also film nights and theater for young people in the garden of the stage. "Theater again at last! Despite the extremely difficult times that are behind us all, we longed again for what makes theater - direct contact with our audience and unhindered theater performance by the actors on and behind the stage," summed up Director Lutz Hillmann on Sunday. With the theater summer, the season of the German-Sorbian folk theater ends at the same time, in which 89,100 guests were welcomed at 717 events.
