Saxony: Bach contaminated with diesel fuel

Gersdorf (dpa / sn) - The Hegebach in Gersdorf in the Zwickau district has been contaminated with diesel fuel. As the police announced on Wednesday, the fire brigade found the pollution of the creek on Tuesday evening. A total of 49 emergency services and water management employees were deployed. They took water samples. In addition, a barrier was laid in the stream so that the contaminated water cannot spread further. It is not yet clear how the fuel got into the creek. The police are investigating on suspicion of a possible environmental crime.
