Construcción Ferrovial registers strong increases in the stock market after announcing the transfer of its headquarters to the Netherlands

Ferrovial's share price has started its session on the Stock Market with a rise of 0.84% after announcing that it will transfer its headquarters from Madrid to the Netherlands to align its corporate structure with its business and its international ambition.

The construction and services group's announcement was made yesterday after the markets closed and, despite its technical and neutral tone, it has had a great impact in business and political spheres.

The company indicated yesterday that the fiscal impact of the decision, which must still be approved by shareholders, will be minimal and that it will continue to pay taxes in Spain. The restructuring means that Spain, until now the headquarters of the parent company of a group that is worth almost 20,000 million euros on the Stock Market, becomes a subsidiary of the group's headquarters in the Netherlands, which will consolidate the benefits of the activity in construction, infrastructures and services around the world: from the AVE works in Spain to the Heathrow airport or different highways in Texas. Taxation on these dividends provided by subsidiaries is more advantageous in Amsterdam than in Spain.
