Dresden (dpa / sn) - The natural landscapes of Saxony are documented in a new brochure. National parks, biosphere reserves, nature parks and wilderness areas in Germany are grouped under the umbrella brand "National Natural Landscapes". Saxony contributes an area of almost 2500 square kilometers.
These include the Saxon Switzerland National Park, the Oberlausitzer Heide- und Teichlandschaft biosphere reserve, the Königsbrücker Heide wilderness area and the three nature parks of Dübener Heide, Erzgebirge/Vogtland and Zittau Mountains. As the Ministry of the Environment announced on Sunday, the brochure provides information, among other things, about the interesting habitats and the sometimes rare animal and plant species there.
