Leipzig (dpa/sn) - Since the beginning of the corona pandemic two years ago, the Saxon Development Bank (SAB) has approved hundreds of thousands of grants. The development bank counted 222,346 commitments in 29 programs, as the SAB announced on Thursday at the request of the German Press Agency. According to this, the economy in particular, but also education and social affairs, infrastructure and municipal affairs, as well as the environment and agriculture, were supported with a total of around 3.7 million euros. Almost half of the funding was paid to the Saxon hospitality industry. Numerous permits have also been issued for trading companies, vehicle repair shops and the service sector.
