Saxony: Dresden volleyball players surprisingly lose

Dresden (dpa / sn) - After four wins in a row, the women's volleyball team at Dresdner SC suffered a surprising defeat on the seventh Bundesliga matchday. Coach Alexander Waibl's team lost in front of 2754 spectators in their home arena against the Ladies in Black Aachen with 0:3 (15:25, 18:25, 18:25). Already on Tuesday, the Elbe city women can do better in the next home game against the Roten Raben Vilsbiburg.

The hosts didn't find their way into the game from the start. Their assumptions were shaky, they couldn't put enough pressure on themselves with the tasks and they made too many mistakes in all areas. So they quickly fell behind in all three sets. Against the tactically excellent Ladies in Black, the ladies around captain Jennifer Janiska found no means of attacking to crack the stable block and well-organized field defence. Even the Dresdeners could do little against the fast game of the guests. After just 72 minutes, Jana Franziska Poll converted the second match point for Aachen.
