Leipzig (dpa/sn) - The Gewandhaus Orchestra invites you to a special concert at the end of the year: after a two-year break due to the pandemic, the audience can listen to Beethoven's 9th Symphony on December 31 and at the same time access a supplementary online offer. The score can be read via a website, old program booklets can be browsed or historical concert broadcasts can be heard, as the concert hall in Leipzig announced on Thursday. It is also possible to see interviews with participating artists or watch the concert via a live stream from different camera perspectives. The offer will be available from December 27th. The orchestra will play the symphony in front of an audience for the first time in two years, conducted by resident bandmaster Andris Nelsons.
