Saxony: kilometers of traffic jams after three accidents on the A4

Lichtenau (dpa/sn) - Three accidents caused traffic jams on Autobahn 4 near Chemnitz at the weekend. As the police department announced on Sunday, the disabilities lasted until the evening hours on Saturday. The cars backed up in the direction of Erfurt for up to ten kilometers. Shortly after 4 p.m. at the Auerswalder Blick service area, one car rammed into another and pushed it onto a van. Shortly thereafter, there were two more accidents involving several cars. One person was injured in the process. The property damage was estimated at a total of around 38,000 euros.
