Crimmitschau (dpa/sn) - Five people were injured when a transporter collided with a fire engine north of Zwickau. The fire engine was on its way to a field fire in Crimmitschau on Monday evening, the police said on Tuesday. The van driver let two fire engines pass, but overlooked the third.
The force of the impact seriously injured the 54-year-old van driver, the 52-year-old passenger and a 29-year-old passenger. The 59-year-old passenger of the fire engine was also seriously injured, the 46-year-old driver suffered minor injuries. The property damage was estimated at 25,000 euros, both cars had to be towed.
