The district court of Chemnitz has to decide on this in a security procedure. The 62-year-old pressed a pillow firmly in his wife's face on March 21 and at the same time knelt on her upper body and arms, the Chemnitz public prosecutor said on Friday. The woman suffocated within a short time.
Because of a mental illness, the man was innocent in the act, it said. He poses a serious risk to the general public. According to the information, the hearing on the security procedure is expected to begin on September 20th at the Chemnitz Regional Court.
