Ruhla (dpa/th) - The fire in two single-family houses in Ruhla (Wartburgkreis) caused property damage of around 200,000 euros. For reasons that are still unclear, a wooden shed caught fire on Friday night, from which the fire then spread to the two residential buildings, the police said on Friday morning. A 75-year-old resident was taken to the hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. The extinguishing work is still ongoing. The remaining residents have meanwhile been accommodated elsewhere.
