Thuringia: CDU parliamentary group leader Voigt: movement in the budget recognizable

Erfurt (dpa/th) - In the difficult negotiations for a state budget for 2023, Thuringia's CDU parliamentary group leader Mario Voigt saw positive signals. Voigt said on Wednesday in Erfurt that he had spoken to Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left). "There's movement now," said the head of Thuringia's largest opposition faction. That was received positively. Voigt warned against uncontrolled decisions in the budget and finance committee meeting on Thursday. This poses the risk of an unbalanced budget. "Anything can happen tomorrow."

He again called on the red-red-green coalition to make improvements: "We are not here to make the Ramelow coalition happy, but of course we want Thuringia to get through the crises sensibly," said Voigt. In principle, he still considered it possible to pass the budget in December.
