Jena (dpa/th) - Experiencing the animal world by day and night and nature impressions especially for children - that is the concern of the "Long Day of Nature" 2023 in Thuringia. For the project on June 9th and 10th, further partners with offers are being sought, said the Thuringia Nature Conservation Union (Nabu) and the Thuringia Nature Conservation Foundation in Jena. It is about enabling the Thuringians to discover nature. In 2022, more than 90 events across the state came together.
Volunteers would have made possible, for example, a butterfly night in the city park, nature experiences in the moor or observations of water bats. Proposals for this year should be reported to Nabu by March 12, 2023. Those who came later will not find their event in the printed program, but on the website for the campaign.
