British police have charged this Wednesday a girl and a boy, both 15 years old, with murder after the death of Brianna Ghey, a 16-year-old transgender tiktoker, in the northwest of England.

Ghey's body was discovered this Saturday afternoon in a local park in Culcheth, near Warrington.

A vigil was held in Liverpool on Tuesday night for Ghey, who his family said was "strong, fearless and one of a kind".

The Cheshire Police had initially indicated that there was no evidence that it was a hate crime, but after questioning the two minors, the charges were presented. The defendants, whose identities have not been provided, must appear this Wednesday before Chester Magistrates Court (northwest English), according to law enforcement.
