The tumor in Borussia Dortmund's newcomer Sébastien Haller has proven to be malignant. BVB announced this.
Chemotherapy is therefore necessary for the 28-year-old. According to sports director Sebastian Kehl, the chances of recovery for the former Frankfurter are "very good". Haller, who Dortmund signed for 30 million euros from Ajax Amsterdam as a replacement for Erling Haaland, who switched to Manchester City, will now be missing for months. BVB is looking for a replacement.
"Sebastien will now receive the best possible treatment," said Kehl one day after the 3-0 win in the DFB Cup at TSV 1860 Munich. "We wish him and his family a lot of strength and optimism and our thoughts are with him at this difficult time."
