Gößweinstein (dpa / lby) - In the case of a woman killed in the Forchheim district, the victim's brother is suspected of having committed a crime. A police spokesman confirmed the corresponding media reports on Wednesday.
According to the police, the 56-year-old woman was found dead in a residential building in Kleingesee near Gößweinstein on Monday night. Because the traces where the body was found indicated that the woman had been the victim of a crime, the criminal police and the Bamberg public prosecutor's office took over the investigation. Suspicion quickly fell on the 59-year-old brother. Investigators said he was suspected of "knowingly and purposefully killing the woman."
The man is now in custody. The police still did not provide any further information, such as the motive or course of the crime.
