Schwerin (dpa/mv) - With an unchallenged 3:0 (25:8, 25:13, 25:21) victory, the volleyball players from SC Palmberg Schwerin started the return journey from the Bundesliga game at Nawaro Straubing. For coach Felix Koslowski's favorite team, the win on Saturday was the sixth win in seven games.
The Mecklenburg women still had slight problems with the first rallies, but then pulled away from 2:4 to 14:5 and thus paved the way for a 1:0 set lead. At the end of the first round there were 16 set balls.
The SSC also dominated the action in the second period. After the 5:5 in the meantime, the Mecklenburg women once again gained a clear lead and also won this round with the second of twelve set balls.
Only the third set offered an exciting exchange of blows. Straubing was able to keep up until 18:18, after which the SSC pulled away with a 5:0 run and finally decided the game in their favor with the first match ball.
