North Rhine-Westphalia: Driver rams into A3 cars and does not remember it

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - A driver rammed two cars on Autobahn 3 near Ratingen and injured four people. After the 68-year-old was stopped by the police, the man stated that he had no memory of the accident and had voluntarily sought psychiatric treatment, the police said on Tuesday. The man initially rammed a car with nine occupants on Sunday. He continued his journey and after a few kilometers he hit another car. When the 68-year-old was checked, the officials found no evidence of alcohol or drug use. Four occupants of the two cars were taken to the hospital for treatment. The man is being investigated for hit and run.
