Nürtingen (dpa / lsw) - A 91-year-old resident died in an apartment fire in Nürtingen. Despite immediately initiated resuscitation measures, the woman died on site from her injuries, the police said on Monday.
Residents of the multi-storey building had previously called the fire brigade after the home smoke detector was triggered and a smell of fire was perceived.
The building had been cleared as a precaution and the residents were able to return to their apartments at 7 p.m. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Specialists from the criminal police secured the tracks.
