Bad Wimpfen (dpa / lsw) - The crew of an ambulance in Bad Wimpfen (Heilbronn district) gave themselves a chase with a car driver. After several risky driving maneuvers, he finally had to stop at a bay and the paramedics tried to stop him there, the police said on Thursday. They were slightly injured.
One of the two paramedics got out to address the stranger in his car. He then reversed and drove towards the ambulance driver, who had also got out in the meantime. This fell on the bonnet of the speeder and slid down again after a few meters. His colleague tried to pull the handbrake by opening the passenger side of the car. This failed.
After the failed attempt to stop, the stranger drove on. The ambulance crew resumed the pursuit. The speeder eventually escaped undetected.
