Baden-Württemberg: KSC striker Rapp beckons quick comeback after team training

Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - Striker Simone Rapp may be facing a quick comeback at Karlsruher SC. The 29-year-old completed the team training of the Baden second division soccer club on Wednesday morning - albeit "in doses", as a club spokesman for the German Press Agency said. Rapp, who was diagnosed with a herniated disc in his cervical spine last week, could return to the squad in the home game against 1. FC Magdeburg on Sunday (1.30 p.m. / Sky).

Rapp missed the start of the league at SC Paderborn (0:5) due to the injury. The Swiss should actually be operated. In the end, however, he decided against surgery. The 1.93 meter man came from FC Vaduz during the summer break and is to replace Philipp Hofmann, who has switched to Bundesliga side VfL Bochum, in the center of KSC's attack.
