Baden-Württemberg: Löwen handball players for half a year without Jaganjac

Mannheim (dpa/lsw) - The Croatian national handball player Halil Jaganjac from the Rhein-Neckar Löwen is not only out for the World Cup in January after his shoulder operation, but is also expected to be out for half a year. The 24-year-old dislocated his right shoulder in a game at HC Erlangen (33:30) at the end of November. The backcourt player will now complete the first phase of rehabilitation in his home country of Croatia, the Mannheim team announced on Friday. In response to the long absence, the fifth-placed player in the Handball Bundesliga is considering hiring a newcomer if it makes sense for “the sporting development of the team”.
