Baden-Württemberg: New speculation about Sosa: Wimmer doesn't care

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The change to another agency and the associated rumors about a possible departure of Borna Sosa do not concern interim coach Michael Wimmer from the Bundesliga soccer club VfB Stuttgart. "I can only talk about Borna Sosa as a person. He shows in every game how important he is for the team. Of course it would be hard to lose him. But I'm not speculating," said Wimmer one day before the duel with Hertha BSC on Tuesday (8.30 p.m. / Sky). Sosa, whose contract ends in June 2025, has been repeatedly linked to other clubs in recent seasons.

The 24-year-old left-back has joined the agency "ICM Stellar", as the consulting firm announced via Instagram. Sosa "is now part of our family and trusts in our expertise in planning his future," the post says. Michael Reschke works there, who brought Sosa to VfB as the then sports director and recently sat in the stands in the Stuttgart Arena.

As a Croatia international, Sosa has the opportunity to present himself at the World Cup in Qatar, which begins on November 20th. In the preliminary round he plays with Croatia in Group F against Belgium, Canada and Morocco.
