Freiburg (dpa/lsw) - According to its own statements, the Schwarzwaldmilch Group also benefits from the sale of organic and lactose-free products. Last year, sales at the two plants in Freiburg and Offenburg rose to a record level of 232.1 million euros, the company announced on Thursday. The previous peak value from 2020 was thus exceeded by 5.4 percent. The dynamic brand growth in the food retail sector was decisive for this. Organic hay milk and lactose-free products were particularly in demand.
The Schwarzwaldmilch Group is owned by a cooperative. According to the company, it is supplied by farmers in the region. In addition to butter and milk, yoghurt products, desserts and spreads are also produced. A total of over 420 employees work in Freiburg and Offenburg.
