Waldmünchen (dpa / lby) - A 19-year-old is said to have smuggled 1.5 kilos of illegal fireworks and two weapons on his body. The young man was checked on Wednesday near Waldmünchen (Cham district) on the border with the Czech Republic as a passenger in a car, as the federal police announced on Thursday. When officers asked if anyone had a prohibited item with them, he said yes. After being asked to do so, the 19-year-old reportedly got out of the car and took 1.5 kilograms of prohibited fireworks out of his pants.
In addition to the four packs and other loose firecrackers, he also had a stun gun and a pepper spray without a test mark with him, and he carried the two prohibited weapons inside his jacket. According to his own statements, he wanted to use this for self-defense. The 19-year-old now has to answer for violations of the Explosives Act and the Weapons Act. He was charged for the disposal of the fireworks.
