Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - 519 people died on Bavaria's streets last year - including 3 children. 61,781 people were also injured in traffic accidents, as Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) announced on Monday in Nuremberg.
The number of dead and injured was again above the level from the Corona years 2020 and 2021, but still below the numbers from 2019. In the year before the pandemic, the Ministry of the Interior had recorded 541 road deaths and 67,079 injuries. In the whole of 2022, 375,700 traffic accidents occurred on the roads in Bavaria. This means that the number of accidents has increased slightly again after a significant decrease in 2020.
