Bavaria: 65-year-old dropped from carriage: dead

Regenstauf (dpa / lby) - A 65-year-old coachman died in the Regensburg district after being thrown off a coach. The man drove alone with the carriage team from a barn in Regenstauf, said a police spokesman on Friday. When one of the two horses shied away, the 65-year-old was thrown off on Thursday. It was initially unclear how he suffered the fatal injuries and whether the carriage drove over him. A woman provided first aid and called 911. However, the man died at the scene of the accident.
