Nuremberg (dpa/lby) - In the trial against a doctor for illegally prescribing cannabis, the regional court in Nuremberg could announce a verdict on Monday (9:00 a.m.). The 59-year-old is accused of having issued private prescriptions for cannabis flowers in several cases without having exhausted other treatment methods beforehand. In addition, she is said to have issued untruthful certificates, among other things, about the patient's fitness to drive.
According to a judicial spokeswoman, the public prosecutor's office had demanded that the accused be fined a total of 250 daily rates of 65 euros each. One defense attorney for the doctor requested an acquittal and the other a lower-reasonable penalty.
