Bavaria: car crashes into tree and catches fire: driver dies

Altötting (dpa / lby) - A 32-year-old died in Upper Bavaria after he drove his car into a tree and the car caught fire as a result. The police said on Thursday that he was driving in a motorcade and, for initially unclear reasons, left a road near Altötting (district of Altötting). The car burst into flames after it hit the tree on Wednesday evening. The man died in the burning car. It was still unclear whether the 32-year-old died from the impact or the fire. An expert opinion was ordered by the public prosecutor.
