Bavaria: Corona is no longer a brake pad: Halligalli with fools

Omikron still annoys the fools - but at the start of the carnival session there are no corona requirements. Die-hards are already looking forward to the traditional parades and ceremonial sessions in the carnival strongholds.

Würzburg/Munich (dpa/lby) - Personnel worries, the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine and the increased energy costs do not stop at the carnival either: Bavaria's fools don't want to let the carnival mood cloud any longer. On Friday, November 11th At 11.11 a.m., the Halligalli time traditionally begins for the carnivalists and carnival clubs.

However, the costumes mostly stay in the closet, first the royal couples have to be put into office, for example in Würzburg. The traditional proclamation of the new royal couple on Sternplatz is scheduled to begin promptly at 11:11 a.m. In Munich, the carnival club Narrhalla wants to present the official royal couple of the state capital at the Viktualienmarkt.

There is still some way to go before the highlights of the Bavarian carnival with the colorful parades in February: In non-Corona years, hundreds of thousands of spectators came to Nuremberg, Würzburg, Bayreuth and Bamberg. Last February, however, the number of infections in the third year of Corona put an abrupt end to the hustle and bustle, and many moves were cancelled.
