Munich (dpa / lby) - After a fire in a Munich ice rink, there is damage of several million euros. A police spokesman said on Sunday. Initially, the investigators had assumed several 100,000 euros. According to current knowledge, arson has been ruled out, but the cause of the fire is still unclear. The fire broke out on Saturday morning in the ice rink on Prinzregentenstrasse. When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke was already pouring out of the building.
According to the emergency services, the fire mainly burned on the upper floor of the stadium. There are changing rooms and a sauna facility. A total of 33 vehicles and 3 fire engines with more than 120 workers were deployed. Because the stadium was not yet open, no one was injured.
