Würzburg (dpa / lby) - On the supposed date with an 18-year-old, a man in Würzburg was threatened with a knife and robbed. An 18-year-old suspect is now in custody, investigators said on Monday. The 44-year-old attacked man apparently chatted with a young woman via an online portal and agreed to meet her below a bridge on the Main in the north-west of Würzburg.
However, it was not an 18-year-old woman who came to the alleged date on Friday evening, but a young man. According to the information, he threatened the 44-year-old with a knife and forced him to give him his mobile phone and over 100 euros in cash. The initially unknown man then fled. The police launched a manhunt and arrested the alleged robber near the scene of the crime. An investigating judge later issued an arrest warrant against the 18-year-old for extortion.
