Landshut (dpa / lby) - Two dozen opponents of nuclear power demonstrated on Saturday in front of the Isar II nuclear power plant near Landshut. The term should not be extended, climate protection is only possible without nuclear power, said the spokeswoman for the "Shut Down" initiative, Clara Tempel, on Saturday. Demonstrators had come from all over Germany, many directly from the climate strike on Friday. Activists from Robin Wood and the group "Lebenslaute" also took part in the campaign.
The Bundestag had extended the end of the last three nuclear power plants in Germany, which was actually planned for the end of 2022, until April 15 due to the import ban on Russian gas.
