Bavaria: young people ignite firecrackers and trigger large-scale use

Memmingen (dpa / lby) - Three young people set off firecrackers in Memmingen in Swabia, triggering a large-scale police operation. Screams and shots, which are said to have come from a gun, among other things, were reported to the officers by residents of an apartment building on Thursday afternoon, the police said on Friday. When police got there with half a dozen patrols, they found three teenagers, ages 14 and 15, on a balcony. The three admitted that they lit firecrackers. A search failed to find a gun.
