This can be done casually by adding all of the aid available to reduce the cost. On Monday night, City Council approved a subsidy for electric bikes (VAE) to be purchased for citizens. The community will allow them to apply for 100 euros to purchase a folding or VAE bike, 200 euros to buy a tricycle or recumbent bike, and 400 euros to purchase a cargo or cargo bike. Only two requirements are required: The bike must be new or used and have a minimum of 800 euros in purchase value. This aid is not for families with a family quotient of less than 2200 euros.
Future buyers of Cenonnais electricly assisted bikes can apply now for aid from Bordeaux Metropole (100 euro) or a bonus (200 euro maximum for a VAE supplementing aid from the community) and thus the subsidy established by the City in Cenon. The City of Cenon has set aside a budget for the current year of 3,000 Euros. This was based on a survey of other municipalities that have implemented this type aid.
