Hesse: Bouffier resigns: Kühne-Hörmann moves up

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Volker Bouffier (CDU) resigned his seat as a member of parliament after leaving the state government. Former Justice Minister Eva Kühne-Hörmann (CDU) is replacing Bouffier as a member of the Hessian state parliament, as state parliament president Astrid Wallmann (CDU) announced on Wednesday at the start of the session in Wiesbaden.

Boris Rhein (CDU) was elected Prime Minister by the Hessian state parliament on Tuesday, and thus Bouffier's successor. After his election, Rhein appointed the previous President of the State Court of Justice and the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court, Roman Poseck, as the new Minister of Justice. After the change in personnel in the cabinet, Kühne-Hörmann stated that she was not happy that she was not taken into account, but that she accepted it.
