In court, the accused spoke of memory gaps. He could not explain why the heavy truck with a trailer had drifted to the right. Apparently, a corresponding warning device in the truck did not work. However, according to an expert's report, the vehicle was in a technically perfect condition. Because the expert could not be present in court and witnesses are still to be heard, two further hearing dates were scheduled. The process is expected to end in mid-October.
