Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - The number of building permits for new residential buildings in Hesse in June 2022 fell by a good quarter compared to the same month last year. Overall, the authorities gave the green light for almost 600 buildings, as announced by the State Statistical Office in Wiesbaden on Tuesday. Accordingly, there are 429 houses with one apartment, 105 buildings have three or more residential units.
The number of approved apartments fell by more than 13 percent to 2060 in the same period. This total also includes apartments that are to be built in non-residential buildings. Residential buildings are buildings where at least half of the area is used for residential purposes.
