Hesse: Traveler in front of the train station racially insulted and beaten

Kassel (dpa/lhe) - A traveler was beaten and racially insulted in front of a train station in Kassel on Monday evening. The 23-year-old was slightly injured, the police said on Tuesday. Together with his girlfriend, the man from West Africa was standing in front of the train station in the Bad Wilhelmshöhe district during a stopover when he was insulted by the previously unknown perpetrator and hit in the face with his fist and then fell. Another man is said to have filmed the incident with his cell phone. Both fled, the manhunt was initially unsuccessful. The police are asking for information.
