Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - After a wheelchair user hit the tracks at a Frankfurt subway station, a man has to answer in court again. Today (from 9.30 a.m.) another trial against the 71-year-old will start before the Frankfurt Regional Court. The suspect, who has a criminal record, is charged with attempted murder.
The incident happened in January 2020 in the Dornbusch district. An incoming subway was able to stop at the last moment. In a first trial, the 71-year-old was sentenced to eight years in prison and subsequent accommodation. However, the Federal Court of Justice overturned this decision and returned the matter to the district court for a new hearing.
