"I never had a chance!": Rainer Gottwald wins "Celebrity Big Brother"

A proletarian in sky-blue pajama bottoms, "occupational therapy for trash celebrities" and a slug that doesn't just move hearts: all about "the night of nights", which was about as exciting as sorting tea bags.

That's it! "Celebrity Big Brother 2022" has ended successfully. The candidates were shielded from the outside world for 20 days. Now the winner is certain. It is boxing manager Rainer Gottwald, who in the end overtakes second-placed Micaela Schäfer and is now 100,000 euros richer. His first words: "I won it, oh Lord! Who on earth is calling for me? I'm such a little sausage! Oh, Lord! I never had a chance!" And then they fall, the tears of the winner who can't believe his luck.

Previously, the four-hour finale was grandly heralded as the "highlight of the year" and "night of nights." The winner, it is said, can rise to completely different spheres and can "put themselves in a row with Jenny Elvers". As in previous years, this wonderfully unrealistic one was piled high and spoke - again - of the "greatest season of all time".

"Marlenchen" was in an enchanting red robe, Jochen in elegant black and if the audience wasn't forced to applaud, you could meet the former residents in the studio for a few minutes and chat about their best moments in the container and whatnot they took away from the season - the obligatory memories for life, of course.

In between, we watched the finalists, or to use Sam Dylan's words, the "final trio of four", as they weighed 50 grams of gold dust and at times got really bogged down. Nudibranch Micaela Schäfer and "DSDS" cult candidate Menderes Bağcı were quickly counted because they misjudged themselves the most. The audience eventually voted Menderes fourth. The decision was commented on by moderator Marlene Lufen with the words: "What a thriller!"

In the course of the evening: partly strained, partly bored faces, flashbacks, games and a proletarian in blue pajama pants, who suddenly finds Jeremy Fragrance, which she describes as an "asshole", really great because she now "privately sees him from another side " know. Well, that's nice if the fragrance influencer shouldn't "drop dead" anymore!

The charming Sam Dylan, who with tears in his eyes was able to enjoy his "best moments" again, secured third place. Meanwhile, all sorts of justified criticism hailed on Twitter. One commentator wrote: "Occupational therapy for trash celebrities. You can hardly end a season in a more boring way. Maybe pouring lead or sorting tea bags." Another was annoyed that the remaining inmates were allowed to play games when further discussions with the former candidates present would have been much more peppery.

Among other things, "Celebrity Big Brother" said: "Performance has never been as important as in this finale!" A suitable comment on this statement was also quickly found on social networks, which spoke from the heart of many viewers: "And that's exactly the biggest mistake of the season. The finale should be about sympathy and not about performance in some dozy games. " The winner of this show couldn't care less about such criticism. Well, then: Congratulations, dear Rainer Gottwald! "Celebrate well!"
