AFP reported that Richard Berry was freed from his hearing in Paris on Tuesday after Coline Berry-Rojtman's complaint. She accused him of incest. Investigators from the Brigade for the Protection of Minors heard the actor.
Coline Berry-Rojtman was born in 1976 to the union of Richard Berry and Catherine Hiegel. She filed a complaint against her father on January 25, 2021, denouncing acts such as "rape and sexual abuse on a minor age 15 by ascendant" or "miner’s corruption" during the years 1984-1985. The Paris prosecutor's office opened an investigation into these allegations, possibly prescribed. Investigators in these investigations heard Richard Berry on Tuesday. Coline Berry-Rojtman heard the case in February 2021.
Richard Berry published a lengthy text on his Instagram account in which he denied "with all (his] strength and without ambiguity these filthy allegations". The actor assured that he had never had incestuous or inappropriate relationships with Coline nor any of his children.
The Aurillac court sentenced Coline Berry-Rojtman to a year in prison for defaming Jeane Manson, her mother-in-law. Le Monde published a piece by Coline Berry-Rojtman describing the sexual violence she suffered at her father's home. Jeane Manson was also accused of participating in the attacks. Coline Berry-Rojtman appealed against this decision.
