Mecklenburg-West Pomerania: Young Talent Prize for flautist, harpist and baroque ensemble

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - The young talent prizes of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival this year go to two musicians and an ensemble, all of whom come from France. The flutist Joséphine Olech, the harpist Agnès Clément and the baroque ensemble Le Consort are the new prize winners of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival, the festival announced on Thursday in Schwerin.

"All of the musicians impressed with their outstanding skills and rousing interpretations at their performances in the 2022 festival summer and showed that our "Young Elite" is the foundation of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival," said Artistic Director Ursula Haselböck. The "Junge Elite" concert series, which has been taking place since 1995, is aimed at talented young musicians.

The young talent awards are to be presented at a gala concert at the end of July 2023. According to the information, Olech will then be awarded the soloist prize and Clément the audience prize. Both awards are endowed with 5000 euros. The winners of the ensemble prize receive 10,000 euros.
