Rostock (dpa/mv) - The police in Rostock stopped a heavily intoxicated cyclist on the night of Halloween Monday. A breath alcohol test of the 17-year-old showed 3.1 per thousand, as the police announced on Tuesday. A police spokesman said that the young people had been traveling in wavy lines on Parkstrasse, among other things. The police first drove his bike home and drove the owner to an office for a blood test. The officers then took him home.

The 17-year-old was being investigated for drunk driving, it said. In addition, the driver's license office was informed. Under certain circumstances, the young person could only receive a driver's license later than usual because of the incident.
