Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Schwerin's volleyball players are aiming for a win at home

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - After the successful start to the season, the Bundesliga volleyball players from SSC Palmberg Schwerin also want to do more at the home premiere. On Saturday (7:00 p.m.) the Mecklenburg girls will welcome the Ladies in Black from Aachen. "This is a very important game. We want to show a good performance," said SSC coach Felix Koslowski at a press conference on Thursday.

The women from Schwerin celebrated a smooth 3-0 win against Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt on the first day of the game, while the women from Aachen lost their home game just as clearly with 0:3 against Nawaro Straubing. The victory in Erfurt was "good", said wing attacker Lina Alsmeier: "The atmosphere in training is good."

Koslowski left open whether middle blocker Indy Baijens will celebrate her season debut on Saturday. In principle, the Dutchwoman could play, but "she's only been back in training for two weeks," said the SSC coach: "We'll give her the time."
