Rostock (dpa/mv) - The preservation and restoration of two churches in the district of Rostock is being funded with federal funds of around 520,000 euros. As the Grevesmühlen CDU member of the Bundestag Simone Borchardt announced on Thursday, the budget committee of the Bundestag approved 218,000 euros for the necessary work on the church in Hanstorf in the municipality of Satow and 302,051 euros for the church in Parkentin in the municipality of Bartenshagen.
"The care and preservation of our valuable cultural monuments is of great importance for our identity and tradition," said Borchardt. Nationwide, the committee approved funding amounting to 47.3 million euros.
