Loana Lecomte is still a major figure in cross-country mountain biking's history. The Annecienne, who was the patron of the World Cup circuit's second champion of France title, won a second consecutive victory on the World Cup circuit, one week after Leogang (Austria) had claimed the first.

The Haut-Savoyarde, who is only 22 years old, made a strong attack on the fourth lap (outof 5) and took 55 minutes to get Jenny Rissveds off her wheel. It is a rare feat in cross-country mountain biking for women in France.
